Privacy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
In short
- Your Spotify password never reaches Kooch.
- We only get the access a transfer needs, and only until it’s done.
- Nothing on your old account is removed or changed.
- We don’t sell your data and there are no ads.
- You can revoke access or ask us to delete your data at any time.
Access to your Spotify account
You always log in on Spotify’s own page and approve the access there. Kooch only needs:
- Old account: your name and profile picture, playlists, liked songs and saved albums. Read-only; nothing on this account is changed.
- New account: your name and profile picture, creating playlists and their covers, saving songs and albums, and following the playlists you chose.
What we keep
- Spotify profile details: the ID and display name of the accounts you connect, for support and to prevent abuse.
- Transfer summaries: when it happened and how many playlists and songs were moved. Your song lists and playlist contents are not stored.
- Anonymous visit statistics: such as device type and language, to understand how the site is used. They aren’t linked to who you are.
- Support messages: your name, email, message and our replies.
Temporary access
The access Spotify grants Kooch after you log in is temporary and only used to carry out your transfer. It ends when you disconnect, or automatically within 12 hours.
How long it’s kept
- Temporary Spotify access: 12 hours at most.
- Visit statistics: 6 months at most, then removed automatically.
- Transfer summaries and support messages: as long as needed for support, or until you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
At any time you can:
- Revoke Kooch’s access in your Spotify account settings, under Apps.
- Ask what we hold about you, or have it deleted. Use the contact form or email support@kooch.one.
Security
Connections to the site are encrypted, and access to data is limited and protected. If you think you’ve found a security issue, please let us know through the contact form.
Children
Kooch isn’t designed for children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect their data.
